Start Up
a) Turn on the water – stop cock located under the caravan to the right of the steps. Turn the stop cock fully on to avoid the tap leaking.
b) Switch on the gas by opening the valve contained at the top of the gas bottle.
c) Switch on the boiler – the boiler is located inside the first cupboard on the right as you enter Matilda. Switch on the electric to the boiler, plug located half way up the wall on the left. Follow the instructions on the boiler to set the timer and whether central heating, hot water or both are required.
Shut Down
a) On the day before you are due to leave – charge up the vacum cleaner which is located in the boiler cupboard.
b) Hover Matilda throughout and empty the vacum cleaner before putting it back in the boiler cupboard.
c) Clean the wooden floors using the Flash floor mop contained in the boiler cupboard along with a wipe contained in a plastic container under the sink.
d) Give the fridge and freezer a wipe over ensuring you do not switch it off otherwise you will get a bill for cleaning them out.
e) Ensure that all sockets and lights are turned off including the one to the boiler. The only exception is the socket for the freezer which is located next to the boiler socket. Leave this socket on
f) Turn of the gas by closing the valves on the gas bottles.
g) Turn off the water by closing the stop cock located under the van.
h) Ensure all taps are turned off.
j) Ensure all windows are closed.
k) Ensure all rubbish bags are removed.
l) Exit locking the door.
